Dakota Joshua Injured, Placed on Long-Term IR
Forward Injured in Fight
Vancouver Canucks forward Dakota Joshua has been placed on long-term injured reserve (LTIR) retroactively to February 15th. Joshua suffered a serious pinky finger injury in a fight on February 13th, which is expected to sideline him for an extended period of time.
Career Season Cut Short
Despite the injury, Joshua has already ensured that 2023-24 will be a career season for him personally. The forward has recorded 10 goals and 15 assists in 57 games, surpassing his previous career highs in both categories.
Third Line Broken Up
Joshua's injury is a major blow to the Canucks' third line. The forward has been a key contributor to the team's success this season, providing both offense and physicality. His absence will be felt in all areas of the ice.
