The Santa Rosa Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday night.

The shooting happened at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Piner Road near Stony Point Road.

Police said that two men were involved in an argument when one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot the other man.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.

In other news, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious death in Rohnert Park.

The body of a woman was found Friday morning in a Rohnert Park apartment.

The woman's death is being investigated as suspicious.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying the woman.
