DFA Temporarily Accepts GCash, PayMaya for Passport Appointment Fees

As it introduces QR code scanning for payment

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday announced that it will temporarily accept payments for passport appointment fees through GCash and PayMaya.

This new payment option is being implemented as part of the DFA's efforts to provide more convenient and efficient services to the public.

The DFA has also introduced a QR code scanning system for payment. This new system will allow applicants to easily and quickly pay their passport fees using their mobile phones.

Applicants can still pay their passport fees over-the-counter at any authorized bank or payment center. However, the DFA encourages applicants to use the new online payment options to avoid long queues and delays.

To pay your passport appointment fees online, you can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the DFA Passport Appointment website
  2. Select the "Book an Appointment" option
  3. Enter your personal information and choose a payment option
  4. Scan the QR code using your mobile phone
  5. Enter the required payment information
  6. Click the "Submit" button

Once your payment has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email. You can then proceed to your scheduled passport appointment.

For more information, you can visit the DFA Passport Appointment website or call the DFA hotline at (02) 834-4000.
